Dean Street Townhouse

This Dean Street townhouse has quite the history—before Miller revived the property, the dilapidated Brooklyn landmark was inhospitable. Structurally compromised, it required rebuilding inside and out. In his restoration, Miller emphasized vegetation and glass rails to invigorate the interior. The most difficult part of the restoration was the reconstruction of the front façade so that it returned to its original Brooklyn look.

Working within 4,600 square feet, Miller opened up the space while simultaneously creating enough room for the owner to rent the lower level, including a separate access to the garden. One of the most exciting details of the home is the green wall located in the parlor that uniquely expands the outdoors into the home.
